Meet the core of the Petal Team

Petal Landscapes was established in 2005 by Matthew Ledgar. The Petal Landscapes team consists of qualified landscapers, talented apprentices and experienced administration staff. Each member has been selected carefully; qualifications, experience and a positive attitude are considered essential. The Petal Team is passionate about their work, demonstrating commitment to customer service and respect for their clients and their homes.  

Matthew Ledgar

Matthew Ledgar established Petal Landscapes in 2005, with over seventeen years experience he has had huge success in both commercial and residential projects. Matthew enjoys every aspect of his work, it gives him great satisfaction to transform a family home into something sophisticated, functional and enjoyable. Matthew takes a consultative approach and works with his clients to develop garden design ideas to deliver on their requirements. Matthew is excited to work with you to and make your dream home a reality. Aside from Landscaping Matthew is a competitive cyclist and rides for a local Melbourne cycling team. 

Lachlan Batt 

Lachlan Batt is a Senior Fully Qualified Landscaper, with ten years of Landscaping experience. His favourite skill is paving and his favorite plant is the Bird of Paradise. Lachlan holds an Industry White Card, Certificate 4 in Work Health & Safety and Building & Construction. He also holds Certificate 3 in Horticulture and Landscaping. Aside from Landscaping Lachlan is also a fantastic football coach and he supports AFL team, Essendon. 

Steve Sharpe 

Steve Sharpe joined the Petal Landscapes team in 2016, and is now a second year Apprentice. Steve is currently studying horticulture and landscaping and has great energy and work ethic. Steve's favourite part about his work is planting. Aside from Landscaping he coaches and plays competitive Basketball. Steve supports the Lakers Basketball team and would like to travel to America in the future to watch a live game. 

Ella Ledgar

Ella Ledgar is Petal Landscapes Business Development and Administration Assistant. Ella holds a Dip.Mgt, Dip.FP B.Com.Mgt and is currently studying and working as a Financial Planner. Ella joined the Petal Team in 2016 and her favourite part about her work is Photographing "before and after" project transformations. Aside from her work Ella enjoys training for triathlons.
